Bibendum Wheels

Bibendum tyres, which were developed in France, are similar to the wired-on type used with well-based wheels.

The wheel rim has a well but only for half of its circumference so that the tyre can only be fitted from one position.

Sizes are in centimetres and are NOT interchangeable with ordinary wired on tyres. They were phased out in the 1930s.
